Reagent kit for determining thrombin time (Tulip Diagnostics Ltd., India)

Principle of the method

consists of determining the clotting time of diluted citrated plasma after the addition of thrombin.

Indications for use:

  • determination of fibrinogen deficiency or defect;
  • assessment of hemostasis in DIC syndrome;
  • diagnosis of liver pathology;
  • monitoring therapy with heparin, fibrinolytic or thrombolytic drugs;
  • detection of the presence of fibrin/fibrinogen degradation products in the blood;
  • detection of congenital or acquired forms of fibrinogen deficiency and dysfibrinogenemia.

Kit composition: Can be formed into kits of any size.

Freeze-dried Thrombin Reagent release forms:

  • 1 vial x 2 ml (20/40 tests)
  • 1 vial x 4 ml (40/80 tests)

Result presentation forms: TT (sec)

Thrombin time determination method:

  1. Add 100 μl of citrated plasma to the reaction cuvette, add sodium chloride solution 100 μl and incubate for 60 sec at +37 ℃;
  2. Then add 100 μl of thrombin reagent.
