(Tulip XL- FDP — Tulip Diagnostics Ltd, India)D-Dimer Test Kit

TulipXL- FDP is a qualitative and semi-quantitative manual latex test for the determination of cross-linked fibrin degradation products (D-dimer) in human plasma. When a blood vessel is damaged, a cascade of blood clotting is triggered in the body, resulting in the formation of a fibrin clot and thrombus. Thrombus lysis occurs under the influence of the fibrinolytic system of the blood and is accompanied by the appearance of fibrin degradation products. One of the end products of fibrin lysis is D-dimer. The amount of D-dimer in the blood indicates the activity of clot breakdown processes and indirectly assesses the activity of thrombus formation. The test is used to diagnose disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), diagnose thrombosis, and monitor thrombosis therapy with anticoagulants (warfarin, heparin).

Tulip XL-FDP kit composition (reagents):
  1. Latex reagent containing mouse monoclonal antibodies to fibrin D-dimer (DD-3B6/22).
  2. Positive control.
  3. Negative control.
  4. PBS Buffer.

The slide and pipette can be reused!

Accessories:
  1. Stirring sticks – 75 pcs.
  2. Slide – 1 pc.
  3. Pipette – 1 pc.

Sensitivity: 100%; 200 ng/ml DDU, 400 ng/ml FEU

Specificity: 100%; Mouse IgG class monoclonal antibodies specific to cross-linked fibrin degradation products.

Principles of the method:
  • This test is based on the principle of latex agglutination
  • Test sensitivity is 200 ng/ml DDU, values below are negative, values above are positive
  • The test detects cross-linked fibrin degradation products – D-dimer
  • No cross-reactions with fibrinogen degradation products X, Y up to a concentration of 20 mg/l or fibrinogen concentrations above 1000 mg/l.

XL FDP kits are distinguished by high reagent stability!
