Highly sensitive stable liquid reagent for determining APTT with an optically transparent activator (Bio-Medica Diagnostics Inc., Canada)

Principle of the method

consists of determining the clotting time of citrated plasma after adding an activator, partial phospholipids and calcium to it. The method characterizes the activity of factors of the “intrinsic” coagulation pathway (XII, VIII, IX, XI)

Indications for use:

• screening the hemostasis system
• monitoring therapy with unfractionated heparin
• deficiency of coagulation factors
• diagnosis of liver function
• DIC syndrome

Kit composition: Can be formed into kits of any content.

MediAPTT release forms:

• 1 vial x 4 ml (40/80 tests)
• 1 vial x 10 ml (100/200 tests)

DO NOT FREEZE DURING STORAGE!

APTT determination method:

1. Add 50/100 μl of the test plasma and 50/100 μl of APTT reagent, keep at +37°C for 180 sec;
2. Add 50/100 µl of 0.025M calcium chloride preheated to +37°C and determine the clotting time.
