Reagent kit for determination of fibrinogen by the Claus method (BioMedica Diagnostics Inc., Canada)

The principle of the method

consists in determining the clotting time of diluted citrated plasma after adding thrombin.

Indications for use:

• screening the hemostasis system
• DIC syndrome
• inflammatory conditions
• thrombosis

Kit composition: Can be formed into kits of any content.

Release forms of Medi Fibrinogen Reagent:

• 1 vial x 2 ml (20/40 tests)
• 1 vial x 4 ml (40/80 tests)

DO NOT FREEZE DURING STORAGE!

Result presentation forms: Fib (mg/dl, g/l).

Fibrinogen Determination Method:

1. Dilute citrate plasma with imidazole buffer 1:9 (e.g., 20 μl citrate plasma and 180 μl imidazole buffer);
2. Add 100/200 μl of test plasma to the reaction cuvette, incubate at +37°C for 60 sec and add 50/100 μl MediFibrinogen reagent.
